Camel march

Signature, 'William Roberts', brc, 'Camel-march' typeset in inner border, brc. Army mounted on camels, bearing standards, marching towards right across desert waste. Main colours: grey figures, sand, green shadows among camels, darker sand on more distant hill, sky white. Pastel yellow border, 12mm, then pastel pink border, 12 mm again, but bled off at right of page, then beige border of 10 mm on top and left hand edges and 20 mm on the bottom edge.

p 128 [tr ed p 147] - 'Ibn Dakhil came up, and after a glance at the country and the direction of march passed a short order for the Ageyl to arrange themselves in wings, out to right and left of us for two or three hundred yards, camel marching by camel in line as near as the accidents underfoot permitted. The manoeuvre was neatly done.'
